In the 1930's Nicholson's sister, the textile artist Nancy Nicholson (1899-1977), set up the Poulk Press producing papers & fabrics. During this period Nicholson and his wife Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975), collaborated with Nancy and their sister-in-law E.Q.Nicholson (1908-1992) on various different textile projects.
A rug of this design from the collection of Stanley Seeger appeared in The Pruskin Gallery sale at Bonhams in March 2012.
